Beyond Style and Glamour: MADWORLD 2025 Ignites the Next Wave of Marketers

Last April 5, the FilOil EcoOil Centre lit up with lights, energy, and a whole lot of glamour as the Philippine Junior Marketing Association (PJMA) hosted MADWORLD 2025: Beyond Style & Glamour. This is the biggest and the most anticipated Junior Marketing Conference in the country.
Among the standout corporate partners was Blogapalooza, bringing the world of influencer marketing to life for thousands of aspiring marketers present at the event.
Blogapalooza’s booth quickly became a crowd favorite. It was an engaging space that gave the next generation of marketistas a firsthand look at the influencer marketing industry. The BlogaTeam created an interactive experience with exciting games, real-world insights, and activities that showcased the impact of creators and online communities.

Andrea Bagtas, Federation President of PJMA, captured the spirit of the event perfectly: “Marketing is no longer just about products–it’s about movements and telling stories that people don’t just watch, but live.”

PJMA’s Director for Events and Logistics, Erin Cathleen Vicente, encouraged students to break boundaries and be limitless: "As future marketers, you are not here just to learn from the big names in the industry but to question norms, bring fresh ideas, and lead a movement that blends creativity with purpose."

Industry leaders also brought powerful lessons to the stage. Jos Ortega, Chairman and CEO of HAVAS Ortega, discussed that in marketing (and life), there isn’t just one "ideal" path, look, or way to succeed. People and brands can create their own identities and stand out by being true to themselves, during his talk, Segmenting Market Identities. “Not everyone has to follow one model, you define yourself,” he said. “You are beautiful in your own way, and your choices as a consumer have the power to shape the future of the industry.”

Meanwhile, Janine Recto, Vice President for Asia Media Brands at One Mega Group, captivated attendees with her session, Marketing with Beauty and Style. She emphasized that “In a world where feelings are everything, aesthetics create desires, and every detail tells a story.” Her insights reinforced the power of visual storytelling, something that influencers harness effectively in every campaign.

Singer Earl Agustin also serenaded the students with his heartfelt performance, creating a memorable moment that had the crowd cheering and singing along. His set added a burst of energy and emotion to the already exciting atmosphere of MADWORLD 2025.
To close the event, Paul Kirby Baltazar, Project Head of MADWORLD 2025 and Executive Vice President of PJMA, inspired everyone with a call to action: “Let’s keep creating and keep using marketing not just to influence, but to uplift, empower, and redefine what’s possible.”
